We had a great inaugural year at Bubbe’s Closet. We held a successful Back to School clothing drive providing clothes to an Annapolis elementary school and an Annapolis community pantry. We also partnered with a local organization to bring warmth to the community by collecting and distributing sweaters, fleece, and hoodies. In addition to that we were able to meet numerous emergency requests clothing and household items.
Back to School Drive
In August and September, thanks to all of the many generous contributions from the community we were able to put together back to school clothing donations to West Annapolis Pop Up Pantry and Tyler Heights Elementary. We were even able to help a few individual families with direct requests for uniform items.
We hope to continue to grow our uniform inventory and partner with both local organizations and schools to be an additional resource for families.
Just One Sweater Winter Drive
In November and December, we partnered with a local non-profit Just One Sweater to collect sweaters, fleeces, and hoodies to help local Annapolis residents stay warm.
It was an amazing year for Just One Sweater, they collected 10,000 warm sweaters, fleeces, hoodies, coats, scarves, and gloves!
We were so happy to be able to contribute to their success and look forward to future partnership opportunities.
